Beginning with sixteen bottlings from the 19th century, this off ering spans nearly 200 years and touches on the most celebrated vintages in the Château’s history, including 1816, 1858, 1865, 1896, 1900, 1909, 1921, 1928, 1929, 1937, 1945, 1948, 1949, 1957, 1959, 1962, 1967, 1975, 1983, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1995 and 2001. An array of modern vintages of Yquem’s dry white, “’Y’ Ygrec”, is also available. No other estate aff ords collectors as many opportunities to commemorate meaningful years, whether historic or personal, with wines that evolve, improve, and withstand the tests of time. This selection represents one of the most important wine cellars in the US, whose stewards fastidiously record the provenance details of every bottle. Neck tags and detailed notes refl ect the date and source, and nearly all the original receipts have been retained. Provenance notes listed in the catalog for this selection correspond to those original receipts.
