For decades this oenophile has been learning about, sourcing and tasting the great wines of the world with a focus on France's greatest terroirs. HDH buyers have a unique opportunity to acquire part of this collection with the spectacular lineup that follows. Burgundy is well represented here with wines (including many magnums) from the Côte d'Or's great domaines including D'Auvenay, Coche-Dury, Dujac, DRC, Ente, Leroy, Mugnier and Roumier, amongst others. Other highlights include eleven vintages of Pingus and fabulous off erings of Sine Qua Non, Dana Estates and Penfolds Grange. The gentleman behind the Cobblestone Collection is well-known for sharing both his wines and his knowledge generously. Even in preparing this selection for the auction, the collector was eager to impart his knowledge about especially rare wines, such as the anecdote that Christophe Roumier considers the Chambolle-Musigny, Les Amoureuses favorite among his 1999s. The HDH team has enjoyed many wines from this collection over the years, and they are consistently superb examples in excellent condition. The wines were either purchased upon release or at auction and stored either professionally or in a temperature- and humidity-controlled private cellar.
