Few names in wine evoke the same emotions. The off ering which follows is concise but packs quite the punch: Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1990, 1991, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2006, and a complete vertical of La Romanée, Comte Liger-Belair from 2008 through 2012. The La Tâche alone would be one of the most signifi cant appearances at auction this year: seven bottles of 1990, 3 bottles of 1991, 19 bottles of 1999, 11 bottles of 2000, 13 bottles of 2001, 12 bottles of 2002, and 2 bottles of 2006. But of course there’s more; complementary bottlings of DRC from each of these vintages, and staggering quantities of La Romanée — 18 bottles of 2009 and 19 bottles of 2010. This selection represents the cellar of a longtime enjoyer and collector of wine, whose passion was inspired at an early age by his father. As the quantities may suggest, connections to winemakers have given this gentleman extraordinary access to the very best wines in the world. The collection is impeccably sourced and painstakingly stored in a custom-built, temperature-controlled cellar. Bid with confi dence, as the wines presented here are unlikely to be seen again in this depth.
